Macter
to manufacture injectable drugs and vaccines
using BD Uniject™.
inks agreement with
Becton Dickinson

Karachi:
Macter International Private Limited will
manufacture injectable drugs and vaccines,
in future, using BD Uniject™, a single-use,
pre-filled injection system that delivers precise
amount of dosage to the patient.
The
BD Uniject™ injection system is
a unique concept towards making the process
of drug and vaccine delivery easier, minimizing
the risk of transmission of diseases and ensuring
easy and economical transport, storage and
environment-friendly disposal. BD Uniject™ cannot
be reused since the sealed drug pouch membrane
breaks once used and a one way valve inhibits
refilling.
For
this purpose an agreement was signed between
Swaleh Misbah, Managing Director, Macter International
and Hadi Hafeez, Marketing Manager, Becton
Dickinson Pakistan at a ceremony held at Macter’s
head office in Karachi.
Macter International, trusted for the last
30 years for quality manufacturing of drugs,
is also the largest contract manufacturer of
pharmaceutical products in the country serving
a host of multinational medicine companies
locally and abroad.
Becton Dickinson is a US-based company engaged
principally in the manufacture and sale of
a broad range of medical supplies, devices,
laboratory equipment and diagnostic products
used worldwide by healthcare institutions,
life science researchers, clinical laboratories,
industry and the general public.
