Training
workshops for doctors on Medical Computing
Skills
As
part of Macter’s Continuing Professional
Education (CPE) programme for doctors,
a series of professional training workshops
on “Medical Computing Skills” were
held inthe following cities:
Karachi
(19-20
August)
Nawabshah (21
August)
Islamabad (22 August)
Peshawar (23 August)
Abbotabad (24 August)
Lahore (25 August)
The
workshops - attended by a large number
of physicians and consultants -
were conducted by Dr Suhail Chughtai
(FRCS),
a consultant
orthopedic
surgeon who is also a Microsoft Certified
PowerPoint Instructor. Dr Muhammad Amin
Chinoy (FRCS), Associate Professor, department
of orthopedics, Baqai Medical University
also conducted a session during the two-day
workshop at Karachi, which was part of
the Health Asia Congress 2006.
So
far Macter has organized more than 25
workshops under its CPE and CME programmes
reaching more than 1500 doctors in the
last two years.
