Macter
Cardio launches
Locril (Clopidogrel)
Karachi:
Macter International’s business unit for
cardiology medicines – Macter Cardio – launched
its new brand “Locril (Clopidogrel)” at
a local hotel in Karachi. Locril’s launch
was themed “Advance Solution for Protection” and
was attended by the country-wide sales team of
Macter Cardio.
Clopidogrel – a
newer anti-platelet agent – is
indicated for the reduction of atherothrombotic
events such as recent MI, recent stroke
or established peripheral arterial disease.
In patients with a history of recent
myocardial infarction (MI), recent stroke,
or established peripheral arterial disease,
Clopidogrel has shown to reduce the rate
of a combined endpoint of new ischemic
stroke, new MI and other vascular fatalities.
Locril’s
launch, among others, was also attended
by Macter’s Head of Commercial,
Haroon Ahmed Malik; Head of Marketing,
Muhammad Qasim Shaikh; Head of International
Marketing, Aamir Naveed Shaikh; Head
of Compliance & Development, Anwar
Ahmed Malik; and Medical Director, Dr
Zakiuddin Ahmed.
The
launch was followed by a three-day sales
training programme for other cardiology
products including Tavist, Adytum, and
Accent. The basic training sessions were
conducted by Macter’s Sales Training
Manager, Dr Tahseenul Haq and Macter
Cardio’s Business Unit Manager,
