Macter holds three-day workshop on “Leadership & Personal Excellence” for healthcare leaders in Karachi

Macter International organized a three-day workshop for healthcare leaders titled “Leadership & Personal Excellence: The Care and Growth Model” which was conducted by internationally acclaimed speaker on leadership and management, Professor Etsko Schuitema. The workshop was attended by many leading figures of the medical community including Prof A. Gaffar Billoo, Prof Tipu Sultan, Prof D.S. Akram, Prof Ejaz A Vohra, Prof Iqbal Memon, Dr A Bari Khan, Dr Suhail Akhtar, Dr Shamvil Ashraf, Dr Shaheen Zafar, Dr Ali Azmat Abidi, Dr Asim A Hassan, A.Q. Javed Iqbal and Dr Farhat Mirza.

The workshop held on 11-13 December 2006 – as part of Macter's Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programme for doctors – at a local hotel in Karachi was organized in collaboration with Schuitema Associates, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Professor E. Schuitema specializes in organizational transformation through people's growth. His research over the last 20 years on the topics of Leadership, Personal Excellence and Employee Motivation is unique and applicable in all settings, irrespective of cultural context, and across all levels in the organizational hierarchy. Schuitema also currently teaches his exclusive approach and original research to senior executives at the Global Leadership executive program at Cambridge University UK, and at a number of South African universities. He is the author of three bestseller books, Beyond Management (1994), Leadership – The Care and Growth Model (1998) and Intent (2004).
