AHJP
signs MoU with Macter

KARACHI -
Association of Health Journalist of Pakistan (AHJP)
and Macter pharma has signed a memorandum of
understanding to organize a workshop on the
topic of "Effective Journalism Using MBTI". The
memorandum was signed by Mr Arif Hashmi (Vice
President AHJP), Mr Akhtar Sahheen Rind (General
Secretary AHJP) and Dr Zakiuddin Ahmed (Medical
Director Macter). President Karachi Press Club -
Mr Imtiaz Khan Faran also graced the occasion
with his presence.
The workshop
specifically designed to cater journalists is
based on the most widely used tool of
personality assessment and development - Myers
Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). 90 percent of
fortune 100 companies and top 10 universities of
the world are using this indicator.
Speaking at the
occasion, Vice President of AHJP - Mr Arif
Hashmi, highlighted the role of association for
capacity building initiatives for health
journalists. Akhtar Shaheen Rind, General
Secretary of the association, stressed the need
for "Continuing Health Journalism Education" (CHJE)
on the similar patterns as 'Continuing Medical
Education' (CME) programs.
Dr Zakiuddin
Ahmed, Medical Director Macter, informed that
CareerMed - a personality assessment and career
planning program for medical students and
doctors - was being offered across the nation by
Macter under its Clinical Excellence &
Leadership Program (CELP) in order to groom the
future leaders of medical fraternity. Health
journalists being at the forefront of societal
change, he said, are one of the most important
stakeholders for any initiative for betterment
in the health sector. |
